Hartalika Teej Vrat is a sacred Hindu fast observed by women, especially in North India, to seek marital bliss and the blessings of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Celebrated in the month of Bhadrapada (August–September), it marks the day Parvati reunited with Shiva after deep penance. Women observe a strict nirjala vrat (without food or water) and offer prayers for the well-being, longevity, and prosperity of their husbands.
